Born in 1974, Eva Macali is an Italian research artist based in Rome and working with painting, sculpture, sound, and video, often integrating them through installation and experimental writing. Her practice deals with the morphology of language and the metaphysics of matter focusing especially on nature and gender in a post-human perspective. She develops personal projects as well as participatory and social projects.
Over the years she has carried out institutional work of communication and research in national and international public bodies, as well as assignments and consultancies for advertising agencies and companies. Her work has been exhibited in museums, foundations and non-profit venues in Italy and abroad.
